Apple Watch

Lokate comes with an Apple Watch companion app. In the Watch App on your phone, look for Lokate and the INSTALL button. If no INSTALL button is present, the WatchApp is already on your watch.

The WatchApp gives you access to critical functions:

• Current location
• The ability to create a marker
• If you have assigned an "Active Area" — your heading and distance to this area

Lokate must be running on your phone for location updates, though you do not need an active assignment. To drop a marker, you will need to have started to record an assignment.

With your iPhone in pocket or backpack, a solid GPS signal may be hard to get and location updates may be slow. The WatchApp indicates signal freshness with a colored underline on the location string:

• Green — updated less than 5 seconds ago
• Yellow — between 5 and 10 seconds old
• Red — older than 10 seconds
